David is the founder of Planning Principle. He is a Healthcare Architect and Medical Planner with more than 25 years experience working with some of the top hospitals and medical institution in the United States, Singapore, China and Southeast Asia. David is a licensed Architect (AIA) in New York State and a LEED certified Professional. He is also LEAN Six-Sigma Black Belt certified.

David is a thought leader who advocates an evidence-based and human-centric approach to medical planning and healthcare design. He is driven by an optimism and willingness to challenge design conventions and norms to bring new innovations to the healthcare practice – changes that can have real impact to patient care, staff wellbeing, clinical and operational efficiencies, and a resilient and future-ready healthcare facility.

David also hopes to bring a multidisciplinary and cross-specialty approach to design and planning, collaborating with fellow professionals and subject matter experts both within and outside the healthcare industry to create design solutions which are progressive, innovative and sustainable for our clients.

David also teaches at the National University of Singapore and is passionate about teaching and mentorship to empower the next generation of architects and designers, both within the firm and in his community.
